Phases Of the Moon

There are 8 different phases of the moon The names are New moon, Waxing crescent, 1st quarter,Waxing Gibbous, Last quarter, And Waning Crescent. The moon phases affects the tides. The moon is the earth's satelite

The first is New moon this is when the moon's disk is dark because the earth is blocking the sun.

The second Phase is waxing crescent, this is when we can see only a sliver of the moon's surface.
Because the earth is blocking the sun.

The third phase is 1st quarter, which appears in the sky as a half moon,. We call it a quarter moon because it has now travelled a quarter of the way around the earth. Because the shadow reflects half on the moon.

The fourth phase is Waxing Gibbous. this is when the moon seems to be bigger because the earth is blocking less of the sun.

The fifth phase is full moon, this is when the moon's directly in front of the sun. When the moon is a full moon We get a big tide because at this point the moon's gravitational pull is very strong.

The sixth phase is waning gibbous, this is when we can suddenly see less of the moon's disk because the earth is blocking the sunlight.

The seventh phase is last quarter this is when the moon has almost made a full circle of the earth we call it a last quarter because it has one left to travel around the earth because the moon has moved it appears in the sky as a half moon.

People need the phases of the moon and tides so they can fish. The moon affects the tides because of the gravitational pull.

Today i Read The bad Book by Andy Griffiths. I have read this book heaps of times and I love this book its so funny to. Now ill Read the blurb In a bad bad wood there was a bad bad house and in that babd bad house there was a bad bad room and in the bad bad room the was a bad cupboard and in the was a bad bad shelf and on that bad bad shelf there was a bad bad box and in the bad bad box ther was a bad bad book AND THIS IS IT. I love this book so far because it is hillarious and a little bit rude I think this book is really hard to put down my favourite chapter is The Old lady who Swallowed a Poo Because it rymes good and Hilarious my least favourite chapter is Joan Burst Because its not funny and it rymes bad. I recommend This Book for bad bad people

Today I read Horid Henry's Big Bad Book Illustrated by Tony Ross. The book has 10 stories in it. The story i enjoyed the most was called Horrid Henry's nits. The Character I liked the best was Horrid Henry because he makes up great poems sometimes they are rude and they are always really funny. The character I liked the least was moody margret because she is moody and always tells on henry getting him in trouble. It was funny when henry was making messages and moody margret got angry. It didnt like it when Perfect Peter was annoying henry because he got a good report card and Henry didnt. i recommend this book for naughty people like henry

Today I read the 2nd big big book of tashi. I liked it when tashi and jack became good friends. I didnt like it when tiku pu was alone.Then tashi ran after him and told him about the missing book .It was sad when tashi got stolen. The character I liked the best is tashi because he likes to go on adventures and tells storys. The character i didnt like was baron becausee he was really mean.

Myst island

Myst is a computer game. 4/5r have started playing Myst it is a really fun game Myst island is a big island with big trees and a house in the middle of the trees. there is one big tree that's stands out the most. I think there is a spaceship in the middle i wonder what on top of the hill I think Myst will be fun continuing it. I don't want to finish the game cause its really good is scary when you hear strange sounds if I was the person in Myst I would be be very scared and frightened this is a picture of Myst island.

How to ride a scooter

It is really easy to ride a scooter if one practice. its great exercise for your leg bones and really fun. To get started it is necessary to decide which leg will be used to be pushed of with. Then adjust handle bars and see if it is too high or too low. Then put a helmet on.Then put one foot on the ground and the other leg on the scooter. It could be after alot of riding scooters maybe people could do tricks. A scooter is $70 a razor pro is $130.

A really good book by Susanne Gervay illustrated by Cathy Wilcox i love this book the characters names are Rob Mum Samantha Nanna and I met this author at Somerset and I saw a play for it.

Dance Cart

Every Monday 4/5R and 4/5J do dance cart it is really fun. The song we dance to is called

kung fu fighting and the song is of a movie called kung fu panda it is really really funny.

We only do dance cart for 1 term.

MARLEY AND ME

I have already read Marley and me and it is a great book. My favorite character is Marley because she chews on everything including the pillows. Its really sad when Marley is in the shed by her self and her paws were bleeding from scratching the garage door.
